Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Understand principles of academic writing (clarity, coherence, originality, objectivity)
- Structure theses (chapters) and journal papers (IMRaD format) effectively
- Develop strong problem statements, research questions, and arguments
- Write impactful literature reviews (traditional, systematic, bibliometric)
- Present results, discussions, and conclusions with precision
- Translate thesis/dissertation content into publishable papers
- Use referencing styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) and manage references with tools
- Build a personal roadmap for thesis completion and publication pipeline
- Leverage AI tools for academic writing and how to avoid plagiarism
